Daily Fantasy Dose: A National Emergency for Matt Harvey

Here's a look at the MLB daily fantasy picture for Tuesday, May 24:
Stacks of the Day
- Boston Red Sox (vs. Rockies): LHP Jorge De La Rosa has to be targeted Tuesday. He gave up seven homers in his first 20 innings this season and is just returning from the DL. Travis Shaw (hand) is unlikely to play, so Josh Rutledge will replace him with Jackie Bradley Jr. projected to hit sixth. Chris Young should be expected to bat as well.
3-player stack: David Ortiz, Bradley Jr., Mookie Betts
5-player stack: Ortiz, Bradley Jr., Betts, Young, Rutledge
- Pittsburgh Pirates (vs. Diamondbacks): The Pirates are one of the top offenses and SP Shelby Miller sports a 6.64 ERA. The Pirates outfield possesses the team's most potent bats, but is also the most expensive. DFS players may not be able to use all three and can instead opt for either John Jaso, Jung Ho Kang, or Josh Harrison.
3-player stack: Jaso, Gregory Polanco, Kang
5-player stack: Jaso, Harrison, Kang, Polanco, Starling Marte
- Washington Nationals (vs. Mets): It may be a popular strategy Tuesday, but with Matt Harvey's previous start turning into an absolute debacle, the Washington lineup has extra appeal. 2B Daniel Murphy and OF Ben Revere have increased value considering Harvey has allowed lefties to hit .353 off him this season.
3-player stack: Revere, Murphy, Bryce Harper
5-player stack: Revere, Murphy, Harper, Anthony Rendon, Wilson Ramos

Bargain Plays
- 2B/3B Josh Rutledge, Red Sox (vs. Rockies): As mentioned in Stacks of the Day, Rutledge is expected to replace Shaw at third base. Though, the 27-year old has only 35 at-bats this season, he has hit .371 while adding two steals. The Red Sox could mash De La Rosa, and Rutledge will provide cheap exposure to that possible onslaught.
- SP Daniel Wright, Reds (at Dodgers): Wright will make his MLB debut Tuesday with Tim Adleman on the 15-day DL. Wright, a 25-year old righty, has split time between Double-A and Triple-A this season, posting a 0.79 ERA. The Dodgers have been mediocre offensively in May slashing .240/.305/.392, and most definitely will not have much of a book on Wright.
- SS Zack Cozart, Reds (at Dodgers): Cozart has quietly amassed hits in eight of his last 10 games, while also scoring in five of those outings. With the Dodgers bullpen expended by Sunday's 17-inning game and Ross Stripling in Triple-A, Mike Bolsinger will be forced to take the hill Tuesday. Bolsinger gave up seven hits and three earned runs in 4 1/3 innings of work last Wednesday.

Contrarian Options
- OF Michael Conforto, Mets (at Nationals): Mets hitters will see reduced ownership and salaries going up against Stephen Strasburg. Though Strasburg is a K-machine, he has allowed at least five hits in six straight starts. Conforto, a platoon specialist, has tagged righties to the tune of a .319 average and eight homers this season. He is also coming off a series against Milwaukee where he went 4-10 with two homers.
- 1B Anthony Rizzo, Cubs (at Cardinals): While Rizzo has name-brand appeal, the slugger has hit just .128 with one homer over his last ten games. Those numbers worsen over the past seven days, where Rizzo has gone 2-for-27 with a lone RBI. Fortunately, the slugger could bump his slump against Michael Wacha. Rizzo has owned the St. Louis starter to a tune of a .455 average and two homers in 22 at-bats.
- SP Edinson Volquez, Royals (at Twins): Volquez has been volatile of late, serving as a DFS disappointment in three of his past five starts. However, Tuesday's matchup against the Twins should produce a much better result. Minnesota, one of the worst offensive teams, is slashing .233/.298/.370 this season, and sits seventh in team strikeouts.
