Top Options
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Jackie Bradley Jr. (BOS) | vs. COL | 9 |
Jose Bautista (TOR) | at NYY | 9 |
Joc Pederson (LAD) | vs. CIN | 8 |
Mookie Betts (BOS) | vs. COL | 8 |
Mark Trumbo (BAL) | at HOU | 8 |
It's nearly impossible to fade Bradley Jr. and Betts, or any of the Red Sox hitters for that matter. Betts is the more expensive of the two and is 9-for-17 at the dish through his last four games while Bradley Jr.'s power surge has continued throughout May, where he has hit seven dingers and 20 RBIs. Their ownership percentages are out-of-this-world and they are cash game necessities.
The Blue Jays seemed to have lost their collective power stroke, but a Bautista bomb in three consecutive games has helped this offense explode. He's still hitting a sub-par .230, but the power surge should continue against Yankees righty Nathan Eovaldi in the short-porched Yankee Stadium.
Pederson has a robust .965 OPS against righties on the season, and with the Reds' RHP Daniel Wright likely to pitch his first career MLB game, Pederson's home-run-or-bust approach could return a plethora of fantasy points.

Mid-Tier Targets
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Andrew McCutchen (PIT) | vs. ARI | 7 |
Stephen Piscotty (STL) | vs. CHC | 7 |
Starling Marte (PIT) | vs. ARI | 7 |
Nelson Cruz (SEA) | vs. OAK | 7 |
Bryce Harper (WAS) | vs. NYM | 7 |
Ichiro Suzuki (MIA) | vs. TB | 7 |
Brandon Guyer (TB) | at MIA | 7 |
Dexter Fowler (CHC) | at STL | 7 |
Yasmany Tomas (ARI) | at PIT | 7 |
Ian Desmond (TEX) | vs. LAA | 7 |
Charlie Blackmon (COL) | at BOS | 7 |
Although Harper has been a cash game juggernaut, he hasn't hit a home run in eight games and has taken a league-high 48 walks. With an enormous salary and a matchup against Mets RHP Matt Harvey, limit him to just GPPs.
Fowler has gone hitless just three times in May, but still owns a middling .286 average on the month. He's been given 10 free passes and continues to man the leadoff spot in a potent Cubs' offense. As long as they are producing offensively, Fowler will always have value in daily fantasy.

NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Mike Trout (LAA) | at TEX | 6 |
Marcell Ozuna (MIA) | vs. TB | 6 |
Jay Bruce (CIN) | at LAD | 6 |
Gregory Polanco (PIT) | vs. ARI | 6 |
Yoenis Cespedes (NYM) | at WAS | 6 |
J.D. Martinez (DET) | vs. PHI | 6 |
Ryan Braun (MIL) | at ATL | 6 |
Steven Souza Jr. (TB) | at MIA | 6 |
Jeremy Hazelbaker (STL) | vs. CHC | 6 |
Odubel Herrera (PHI) | at DET | 6 |
Yasiel Puig (LAD) | vs. CIN | 6 |
Miguel Sano (MIN) | vs. KC | 6 |
Though Angels fans everywhere held their breath when Trout rolled his ankle on Sunday, he suited up the next day and appears to be fine. Nevertheless, he's one of the most expensive players on Tuesday's slate and isn't worth paying up for in cash games.
Cespedes' price tag has been rather costly to say the least, and rightly so. He's crushed three homers in his last seven outings, he faces Nationals RHP Stephen Strasburg, who owns a superb 11.07 K/9 while sporting a 7-0 record.

NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Christian Yelich (MIA) | vs. TB | 5 |
Adam Eaton (CWS) | vs. CLE | 5 |
Lorenzo Cain (KC) | at MIN | 5 |
Hunter Pence (SF) | vs. SD | 5 |
Khris Davis (OAK) | at SEA | 5 |
George Springer (HOU) | vs. BAL | 5 |
Michael Saunders (TOR) | at NYY | 5 |
Denard Span (SF) | vs. SD | 5 |
Charlie Blackmon (COL) | at BOS | 5 |
Colby Rasmus (HOU) | vs. BAL | 5 |
Both Yelich and Davis are listed as day-to-day and even if they do suit up, they could fail to return value. Nonetheless, both hit in the heart of have prime positions in the batting order and will have low-ownership percentages.
Eight of Springer's nine homers have come against right-handed pitchers this season, so he has plenty of value against Orioles RHP Chris Tillman; but buyer beware: He's won five straight games and has held batters to a .191 average.

NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Giancarlo Stanton (MIA) | vs. TB | 4 |
Justin Upton (DET) | vs. PHI | 3 |
Matt Kemp (SD) | at SF | 3 |
Jacoby Ellsbury (NYY) | vs. TOR | 3 |
Adam Jones (BAL) | at HOU | 3 |
Carlos Gonzalez (COL) | at BOS | 3 |
Jayson Werth (WAS) | vs. NYM | 3 |
It's been a whirlwind start to 2016 for Stanton, who came into May with an adequate .944 OPS but crushed eight homers that generated 19 RBIs. Since May 1, he's hitting an atrocious .156/.280/.344 slash line with just three homers and six RBIs.
