Oklahoma City Thunder center Enes Kanter said recently - in Turkish on Twitter - that he's been receiving death threats in the wake of last week's failed coup in his native Turkey.
A faction of the Turkish military attempted Friday to overthrow the government led by president Recep Tayyip Erdogan, but the insurgency was quickly stifled.

Kanter, 24, was born in Switzerland to Turkish parents. He was reportedly left off of Turkey's 2015 EuroBasket squad because of his political affiliation with Fethullah Gulen, a detractor of Erdogan's regime who some have blamed for the coup attempt.
