Tim Kennedy mistakenly held USADA agent at gun point
Approach Tim Kennedy with caution.
The UFC middleweight is an active member of the US Army and he's known for being as dangerous outside of the Octagon as he is inside of it. One unfortunate drug tester learned of this fact firsthand.
Kennedy was acting as a ringside commentator for a full contact sparring event on Thursday, and he decided to fill some time by telling a story about how he held a USADA employee at gunpoint when he mistook the tester for an agent of ISIS.
According to Kennedy, the terrorist organization had been sending him death threats and he became suspicious when he thought he was being followed home.
"There's this truck taking all the same turns heading out to my house," said Kennedy. "So I punch it and I go up into my driveway, hop out of my car, gun drawn, this is right after ISIS gives their threats that they're trying to kill me and this poor USADA guy sticks his hands out the side of his truck window, he's like 'I'm from USADA! Please don’t kill me! I'm just here to get your pee!'"
Thankfully, Kennedy assessed that the threat level was non-existent and everything was resolved peacefully.
"So I gave him my pee," said Kennedy. "And lead! Naw, I didn't shoot him."
