Finn Balor suffers right shoulder injury at SummerSlam
World Wrestling Entertainment's new Universal Champion Finn Balor wasn't able to leave the Barclays Center on Sunday night unscathed following his memorable match with Seth Rollins for the new title.
"The Demon King" suffered a right shoulder injury after receiving a running powerbomb into a barricade, WWE.com confirmed Monday afternoon.
"He hit the wall during the match, dislocated his shoulder and was able to put it back in himself in a split second," ringside physician Dr. Chris Robinson told WWE.com.
While Balor managed to finish the nearly 20-minute match, Robinson noted that an MRI conducted shortly after revealed a "possible labrum tear" which may require surgery.
He will undergo further medical testing to evaluate the extent of the damage. Until then, the fate of his reign as Universal Champion after beating the former Shield member in one of Sunday's main events will remain a mystery.
Balor wore a sling prior to his appearance on Monday's "Good Morning America," but removed it prior to going on-air.

This isn't the first time Rollins' powerbomb has injured a fellow superstar. It was during last year's Night of Champions pay-per-view when he tossed "The Icon" Sting into the corner with the maneuver, resulting in a neck injury for the now-57-year-old legend that ultimately ended his career.
