Seferian-Jenkins as low as third on the TE depth chart?
Though the Tampa Bay Times' Greg Auman expects Austin Seferian-Jenkins to see "plenty" of work in Week 1 against Atlanta, the third-year pro may technically be behind both Cameron Brate and Luke Stocker on the positional depth chart.
Fantasy Impact: Seferian-Jenkins is the best receiving threat of the trio, so he'll likely feature in passing situations and in the red zone. Regardless of his position on the depth chart, he's not worth drafting in all but the deepest of leagues. He's best served as a bargain daily fantasy option for now, with season-long investment dependent on his health and role in the offense.
Jimmy Graham's status still uncertain for Sunday
It's long been known that the Seahawks tight end may not be ready for Week 1, and the Seattle Times' Bob Condotta quotes coach Pete Carroll as saying that he "has no expectations that [Graham] is going to play this week." Carroll also states the obvious by declaring that Graham's work in practice will help determine his status against the Dolphins.
Fantasy Impact: Graham is a stay-away in daily fantasy games, and shouldn't be started in season-long formats, either. Even if he plays, he almost certainly won't see a full workload. For any fantasy teams with Graham as the lone tight end, a backup should be added immediately.
Nelson may not see a full workload in Week 1
Having not played in the preseason as he recovers from a knee injury that cost him all of 2015, ESPN's Rob Demovsky sees it as an "arduous task" for Packers WR Jordy Nelson to suit up for a full complement of offensive snaps. Demovsky notes that in 2014, Nelson played in 92.1 percent of the team's total offensive plays.
Fantasy Impact: In what could be a high-scoring affair against the Jaguars, Nelson should still be productive even if handed a slightly smaller role. In season-long formats, he's too explosive not to start, though he's still somewhat of a risk in daily fantasy. By all accounts, Nelson is back healthy, so it's just a question of him getting his conditioning up to speed.
Giants' Rashad Jennings should see goal-line touches
With Andre Williams released, ESPN's Jordan Raanan expects Rashad Jennings to see short-yardage and goal-line work on top of regularly carrying the rushing load. Shane Vereen will still be used in obvious passing situations, but Jennings should easily eclipse his three rushing scores from a season ago.
Fantasy Impact: Already offering strong value with a FantasyPros ADP of 33 at his position, Jennings' production could spike if afforded goal-line touches. He's never topped six rushing scores in a single season, though Williams wasn't exactly a threat to Jennings' output last season, only running for one score. In 2014, however, Williams had seven TDs to Jennings' four.
