Here's a team-by-team look at the most targeted players last year in the AFC (click here for NFC targets):
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Dennis Pitta | 12 | 16 | 8 |
Steve Smith Sr. | 6 | 15 | 7.5 |
Mike Wallace | 6 | 12 | 6 |
Justin Forsett | 5 | 8 | 4 |
Breshad Perriman | 5 | 7 | 3.5 |
Wallace may already be Joe Flacco's top red zone option. The former Dolphin has three scores in the first two weeks. Pitta had a solid showing in his bid for Baltimore's TE duties, securing nine catches for 102 yards.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Sammy Watkins | 5 | 11 | 5.5 |
Charles Clay | 7 | 10 | 5 |
LeSean McCoy | 5 | 9 | 4.5 |
Robert Woods | 2 | 7 | 3.5 |
Marquise Goodwin | 0 | 5 | 2.5 |
The Buffalo passing game is a dangerous area for fantasy players to venture. Two deep balls from Tyrod Taylor to Goodwin and Greg Salas comprised 155 of Taylor's 299 total passing yards in Week 2. There's little appeal outside of Watkins, and no reliability with any option here.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
A.J. Green | 8 | 21 | 10.5 |
Giovani Bernard | 11 | 15 | 7.5 |
Brandon LaFell | 8 | 12 | 6 |
Tyler Boyd | 8 | 11 | 5.5 |
Tyler Kroft | 4 | 4 | 2 |
Green was a bust in Week 2, reeling in just two passes for 38 yards. Bernard stole the show, picking up 100 yards with a score via the air. Expect these two to continue dominating the looks until Tyler Eifert returns.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Terrelle Pryor | 10 | 17 | 8.5 |
Corey Coleman | 8 | 13 | 6.5 |
Duke Johnson Jr. | 5 | 10 | 5 |
Gary Barnidge | 5 | 7 | 3.5 |
Andrew Hawkins | 3 | 6 | 3 |
It was Coleman's coming out party in Week 2 as he eclipsed the 100-yard mark and scored twice. But with Josh McCown now injured, the Browns will now turn to rookie QB Cody Kessler in Week 3. Owners of Coleman and Barnidge should be concerned.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Emmanuel Sanders | 8 | 16 | 8 |
Demaryius Thomas | 7 | 13 | 6.5 |
C.J. Anderson | 5 | 10 | 5 |
Virgil Green | 3 | 8 | 4 |
Trevor Siemian has just one TD toss through the first two weeks as the Broncos feed Anderson along the ground. Fantasy players shouldn't expect that strategy to change much going forward either. With Siemian, Thomas and Sanders look more like a WR2 and WR3, respectively.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
DeAndre Hopkins | 11 | 19 | 9.5 |
Will Fuller | 7 | 18 | 9 |
Lamar Miller | 2 | 6 | 3 |
C.J. Fiedorowicz | 1 | 3 | 1.5 |
Fuller topped 100 yards once again in Week 2 but failed to score against Kansas City. For those who drafted the rookie, though, it's pretty much been all smiles. Fuller should continue to benefit with Hopkins demanding attention.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
T.Y. Hilton | 11 | 23 | 11.5 |
Phillip Dorsett | 5 | 11 | 5.5 |
Donte Moncrief | 3 | 10 | 5 |
Dwayne Allen | 4 | 10 | 5 |
Frank Gore | 3 | 9 | 4.5 |
Andrew Luck failed to top 200 passing yards against a stingy Denver defense, and his receivers obviously felt the effects; none of them recorded 45 receiving yards. Furthermore, Moncrief suffered a shoulder injury Sunday.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Allen Robinson | 5 | 20 | 10 |
Allen Hurns | 10 | 15 | 7.5 |
T.J. Yeldon | 9 | 15 | 7.5 |
Julius Thomas | 7 | 12 | 6 |
Both Hurns and Robinson have failed to hit 80 yards receiving in a game or record a touchdown. While that will change in the near future, fantasy owners have been disappointed thus far by what should be one of the league's top passing offenses.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Jeremy Maclin | 15 | 22 | 11 |
Travis Kelce | 7 | 14 | 7 |
Chris Conley | 4 | 11 | 5.5 |
Spencer Ware | 3 | 11 | 5.5 |
Alex Smith looked much more like Alex Smith in Week 2, recording 186 passing yards and failing to find the end zone. As the top wideout in Kansas City, Maclin will remain a stable PPR option, but his standard value is tenuous. Kelce remains a stable but unspectacular TE option.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Jarvis Landry | 13 | 23 | 11.5 |
DeVante Parker | 13 | 13 | 13 |
Jordan Cameron | 7 | 10 | 5 |
Kenny Stills | 4 | 9 | 4.5 |
Arian Foster | 0 | 5 | 2.5 |
Cameron is worthy of a special shoutout for finally being productive in a Miami jersey. Don't expect that to continue, though. Parker returned with a bang as the Dolphins were forced to play catch up in much of the second half. Foster, on the other hand, sustained a groin injury and is day-to-day.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Julian Edelman | 11 | 18 | 9 |
Martellus Bennett | 6 | 11 | 5.5 |
James White | 4 | 11 | 5.5 |
Chris Hogan | 6 | 10 | 5 |
Danny Amendola | 4 | 8 | 4 |
Expect Jacoby Brissett to start New England's Week 3 Thursday Night contest against Houston. In accordance, fantasy owners should bench most of their Patriots receiving options. Ultimately, fantasy players are served to wait for Tom Brady to return.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Brandon Marshall | 9 | 17 | 8.5 |
Eric Decker | 8 | 15 | 7.5 |
Quincy Enunwa | 6 | 14 | 7 |
Matt Forte | 3 | 10 | 5 |
Bilal Powell | 2 | 6 | 3 |
The Jets may have a three-headed receiving monster on their hands. Enunwa has seen 14 targets, totaled 146 yards, and a score so far. Whether the Jets can sustain such a trio for an extended period is uncertain, though they did prove their ability to sustain a two-pronged attack last season.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Amari Cooper | 9 | 20 | 10 |
Michael Crabtree | 5 | 14 | 7 |
Clive Walford | 7 | 12 | 6 |
Seth Roberts | 6 | 10 | 5 |
Latavius Murray | 6 | 8 | 4 |
Cooper and Crabtree are the unquestioned leaders in Oakland. Murray saw a surprising six targets in Week 2, but he also ended up losing a significant amount of touches in the running game. Walford picked up a score in Week 2 but remains nothing more than a flier in DFS GPP play.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Antonio Brown | 11 | 19 | 9.5 |
DeAngelo Williams | 5 | 14 | 7 |
Jesse James | 5 | 12 | 6 |
Eli Rogers | 3 | 10 | 5 |
Sammie Coates | 5 | 5 | 5 |
Markus Wheaton sat out Week 2, further jeopardizing his hold on the WR2 position. Williams continued to impress in the absence of Le'Veon Bell, but that won't matter come Bell's return in Week 4. Overall, the Steelers' offense remains a top fantasy target.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Travis Benjamin | 6 | 14 | 7 |
Tyrell Williams | 6 | 11 | 5.5 |
Antonio Gates | 5 | 9 | 4.5 |
Danny Woodhead | 1 | 8 | 4 |
Dontrelle Inman | 3 | 6 | 3 |
Benjamin and Williams stepped in admirably as the WR1 and WR2, combining for 176 yards and three scores in Week 2. Expect them to see most of the targets in San Diego, and possibly even more with the loss of Danny Woodhead. Gates has yet to hit 25 receiving yards in a game.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Tajae Sharpe | 7 | 18 | 9 |
DeMarco Murray | 7 | 14 | 7 |
Delanie Walker | 6 | 11 | 5.5 |
Rishard Matthews | 6 | 10 | 5 |
Andre Johnson | 2 | 9 | 4.5 |
The Tennessee pass offense is going to run through a trio of Murray, Sharpe, and Walker. All three are legitimate options, with Sharpe slightly more volatile compared to the more established Murray and Walker.
