Value Rankings

Top Options
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Freddie Freeman (ATL) | vs. DET | 9 |
Joey Votto (CIN) | vs. CHC | 8 |
Miguel Cabrera (DET) | at ATL | 8 |
Freman has hit an insane .500 in his past 10 games and .417 for the month of September. He needs to be locked into all cash game lineups regardless of his price tag.
Votto has gone yard in three of his past five. He could make it four of six thanks to a matchup against SP Jason Hammel. Firstly, left-handed bats have always had an advantage against Hammel, notching a .440 SLG percentage. Secondly, Hammel has given up six dingers in just 20 2/3 innings this month.
Cabrera has been on a tear of late. He has three straight multi-hit games with 10 RBIs in that brief span.

Mid-Tier Targets
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Yonder Alonso (OAK) | at SEA | 6 |
Chris Carter (MIL) | at COL | 6 |
Mark Teixeira (NYY) | vs. BAL | 6 |
Alonso is extremely cheap and has a respectable .284 average on the road this season. With LHP Ariel Miranda taking to the mound, Alonso should also capitalize on Miranda's susceptibility to left-handed bats. The 27-year old rookie has allowed them to hit .324 this season.
Carter's SLG percentage falls from .544 at home to .463 from on the road, but Coors Field isn't just any park. Use him in tournament lineups only.
The soon to be retired Teixeira has homered in back-to-back games. Furthermore, he's taken RHP Yovani Gallardo deep three times in just 13 career at-bats. He'll be looking to go out on a high note.

NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Daniel Descalso (COL) | vs. MIL | 4 |
Mitch Moreland (TEX) | vs. TB | 3 |
Gerardo Parra (COL) | vs. MIL | 3 |
Parra's been a massive disappointment this season. Many fantasy owners have already written him off entirely at this point, and you should as well.
