Look: Austin Aries suffers terrifying eye injury during NXT match

WWE star Austin Aries probably won't need a Halloween costume this year, because the injury he suffered during a match against Shinsuke Nakamura on Wednesday night is horrifying enough.

The match, which took place during an NXT live event in Fresno, Calif., came to an abrupt end after Aries took a kick to the face. He required stitches below his eye, which, as this graphic photo he shared on Twitter shows, was so swollen afterwards that he couldn't even open it:

At least he's still smiling.
