Roach: Pacquiao-Mayweather rematch too lucrative to pass up
Freddie Roach firmly believes if it makes dollars, it makes sense.
The longtime trainer, currently prepping prized pupil Manny Pacquiao for his comeback clash with Jessie Vargas, told the media Thursday that a future rematch between "Pac-Man" and Floyd Mayweather Jr. would be too lucrative to pass up, if offered, reports ESPN's Arash Markazi.
Mayweather took the much-maligned 2015 bout by unanimous decision, and while boxing die-hards may be inclined to cite his and Pacquiao's advanced age and debatably diminishing skills as financial deterrents, Roach claimed the proverbial seed has already been planted:
Freddie Roach said he saw Leslie Moonves two months ago and Moonves told him, "Let's do it again" regarding a Mayweather-Pacquiao rematch.

"Money" hasn't fought since outpointing Andre Berto in September 2015, while Pacquiao will end his seven-month retirement against Vargas on Saturday at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
