United announces Ibrahimovic will return for 2nd season
Zlatan Ibrahimovic will grace Premier League pitches for a second season.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho confirmed to reporters Wednesday that the club has opted to pick up the team option on Ibrahimovic's one-year contract to secure the Swedish star's services until, at least, 2018.

"Zlatan's situation is simple: he has a one-plus-one contract with the club and we will execute the option of a second season," Mourinho told reporters, courtesy of United's website, ahead of his team's Europa League fixture against Feyenoord.
"He's happy, committed and loving his life as a football player at United. This is probably the last big challenge of his wonderful career, so it is perfect for him to be here for the next 18 months and then he owns the decision of his future."
The former Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, and AC Milan forward arrived at United this past summer after spending the last four seasons in France with Paris Saint-Germain.
He revealed that he could have signed with United earlier but opted against a move to England last year in favour of one more season with the capital city outfit.
"I was happy at PSG and didn't feel the moment was there," he said. "I came here when I was 35. I could stay at home and feel happy but no, I will travel alone and conquer wherever I go."
He added: "When I arrived, the whole city was shining - before that, I don't know how much it was shining. Now it shines for 24 hours. I'm here and I'm having a good time - I feel comfortable and settled."
Since arriving at Old Trafford, Ibrahimovic has scored eight goals in all competitions.
