When it comes to producing professional athletes, no one does it better than the Windy City.
A study conducted by AreaVibes found that of all the possible cities across the four major sports, Chicago has had the most MLB (370), NFL (464), and NBA (125) players born within its city limits. In the NHL, Toronto led the way with 458 players.

The study also looked at which states produce the most professional athletes relative to their population, and Washington, D.C. - home of Kevin Durant and Andrew Luck - came out on top with a little more than 53 athletes per 100,000 residents. Rounding out the top five are Mississippi, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.
