LeBron warns LaVar Ball: 'Keep my kids' name out of your mouth'

By bringing up LeBron James' oldest son, LaVar Ball - the father of UCLA standout Lonzo Ball - has crossed a line in the eyes of the Cleveland Cavaliers star.

"Keep my kids' name out of your mouth, keep my family out of your mouth," James said of LaVar on Tuesday to ESPN's Dave McMenamin during practice at the UCLA campus.

"This is dad to dad. It's a problem now."

Last week, the outspoken LaVar discussed LeBron James Jr., saying how he'll have a difficult time living up to the legacy of his four-time MVP father.

"Here's the thing, you gotta play the odds and the percentages," Ball said. "Been a lot of great players, and all their sons are whack. Kareem got a son - no. Jordan had sons. Shaq got sons."

James Jr. has excelled on the AAU circuit, and several big-name colleges, like Duke and Kentucky, are prepared to offer him a scholarship when he's eligible.

Lonzo is projected to be a top-three pick in 2017, averaging 14.7 points, 7.6 assists, and 6.1 rebounds for the Bruins.

"I actually like his son," James said of Lonzo. "I like his game."

LaVar, on the other hand, isn't in James' good books at the moment.

"He can talk all about his brand, talk about his sons, talk about basketball, talk about me," he added. "But keep my family out of this."
