LeBron passes Kareem for 2nd in all-time playoff scoring

The ghost in Chicago is all that is left for The King to chase.

LeBron James moved past Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for second place on the NBA's all-time playoff scoring list with 39 points against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday.

James reached the mark in the third quarter with a deep three over the outstretched arms of Serge Ibaka. It was James' fourth three of the night to go along with his usual assortment of free throws and driving layups.

He finished with 39 points on 10-of-14 shooting in 37 minutes of work and left the game midway in the fourth to rousing chants of "MVP" from the home crowd.

Michael Jordan is the only player left for James to catch. His Airness sits atop the throne with 5,987 career playoff points. Given his average of 28.1 points per game, James should pass Jordan in roughly 10 games.
