Harden: 'I take responsibility' for Game 6 loss
James Harden played shockingly poorly in Game 6, and faced difficult questions after the Houston Rockets lost 114-75 to the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday.
Harden was abysmal in the elimination game on his home floor, scoring 10 points on 2-of-11 shooting with seven assists against six turnovers and six fouls in 37 minutes. The MVP candidate was a minus-28 and struggled to generate quality shots as Houston's season came to a miserable end.
The Beard accepted blame for the loss when he spoke to reporters afterward.
"It does (fall on my shoulders)," Harden said. "You gotta take it for what it is. Everything falls on my shoulders. I take responsibility for it on both ends of the floor and it's tough, especially the way we lost at home for Game 6."

Harden credited the Spurs for taking the Rockets out of their offense, while executing with determined precision on their end.
"They just dominated. Played well, moved the ball extremely well, made shots. We never really had a rhythm throughout the entire game ... we just never got into a rhythm offensively," Harden said.
"I really didn't feel like I had a rhythm at the beginning of the game," he added. "I feel like I was making some passes and we didn't knock down shots. As a team, as a unit, we really didn't have a rhythm and they capitalized on that."
