Gurriel's insane hair wows Yankees' broadcasters
Even though it's 2017, the New York Yankees continue to enforce their famously strict appearance policy, forbidding their players from growing beards or wearing their hair long, but visiting players - for instance, Houston Astros newcomer Yuli Gurriel - are very much free to flout that rule.
In the Bronx on Thursday for the first time in his big-league career, Gurriel did just that, rocking some insane flow that made quite an impression on the Yankees' broadcasting crew.
"Love that hair," longtime YES network play-by-play man Michael Kay said.
"I mean, there's gotta be something in there," his partner remarked. "Your hair can't just stick up like that.
"I think there's product," Kay theorized.
"A little product?"
"I think," Kay concluded, "Aerodynamically, hair does not go like that unless you're in a wind tunnel."
