Report: Lonzo Ball may choose to only work out for Lakers
Former UCLA standout Lonzo Ball has heavily teased that he wants to join the Los Angeles Lakers, and the franchise seems equally enamored with the 19-year-old prospect.
The chances of Ball making his way to Staples Center in purple and gold increased exponentially Tuesday when the Lakers emerged with the No. 2 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. With Los Angeles now in a prime position to take him, it appears the 6-foot-6 floor general is somewhat willing to shun other teams in order to make this potential pairing a reality.
Ball is reportedly undecided over whether he'll take part in workouts with teams other than the Lakers ahead of the June 22 draft, a source close to Ball told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.
"We will make that decision closer to June," said the source.

As well as playing college ball at UCLA, Ball attended high school at Chino Hills, and grew up in the Anaheim area.
Lakers president Magic Johnson has already made it clear that Lonzo's talkative and sometimes controversial father, LaVar, won't impact how the organization goes about using its pick.
Entering the lottery, the Lakers had a 53 percent chance of losing their pick to the Philadelphia 76ers, and were only able to keep it by having it land in the top three.
Ball was Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, a First-team All-Pac-12 member, and a consensus first-team All-American at UCLA.
