Look: Elaborate hats, weird fashion choices on display at Preakness

While it's still a few hours away from the main event at the 142nd Preakness Stakes in Baltimore, there are already plenty of sights to behold at Pimlico on Saturday.

Even with inclement weather, plenty of folk turned out for the undercard wearing a horse-racing staple: elaborate, flashy hats. Maybe it doesn't quite live up to the standard set by the Kentucky Derby, but it's still a fairly impressive display.

Some chose even more elaborate tributes to the tradition of race day, like these would-be jockeys and some rogue basketball fans:

Combining both, however, to win the day is this jockey and his friend with the best - and most nightmare-inducing - hat possible. Sure, it's more of a mask, but it fits on your head.
