Report: AC Milan trying again to renew Donnarumma's contract
The saga is not yet over.
AC Milan is looking to reopen negotiations with Gianluigi Donnarumma over a new contract, according to Sky Sport Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio.
The 18-year-old, represented by super agent Mino Raiola, turned down an "enormous" deal worth €25 million over five years, the club's sporting director, Massimiliano Mirabelli, said last week.
In the intervening days, Raiola and Milan aired their grievances in public, with the former suggesting the Rossoneri had bullied and threatened his client. That was met with a swift denial from CEO Marco Fassone, who said he would welcome back Donnarumma with "open arms" if he were to change his position.

His decision not to renew prompted outrage on social media, as a campaign emerged accusing the young shot-stopper of seeking more money at the expense of the club he said he always loved.
One small group of fans at Italy's European Under-21 Championship match against Denmark - in which Donnarumma started - threw fake money at the goalkeeper in the most visible protest yet.
Now a "diplomatic effort" is being made to reach a consensus between Donnarumma, Milan, and Raiola, Di Marzio added.
Any move for a potential replacement - Genoa's Mattia Perin chief among them - has been postponed.
The teenager's current contract expires next June.
