Report: Rockets attempting to move Patrick Beverley
Houston Rockets point guard Patrick Beverley isn't a big name relative to the crazy rumors that have been headlining the NBA rumor mill over the past few days, but the defense-first point guard could soon be on the move.
The Rockets have reportedly been "actively shopping" Beverley, according to Sporting News' Sean Deveney.
Moving Beverley would clear the way for the Rockets to try and land veteran point guard Chris Paul, who was reportedly interested in talking with the organization going into the offseason.
Beverley recently commented on his future with the organization and the speculation around Houston targeting Paul, stating, "It's part of the business."
Beverley has spent his entire 291-game career with Houston, averaging 9.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.4 rebounds.
