Marc Methot wasn't a Vegas Golden Knight for long.
The expansion franchise traded the defenseman to the Dallas Stars on Monday.
Vegas received a second-round pick in 2020 and the rights to goaltender Dylan Ferguson, whom the Stars picked 194th overall Saturday.
The Stars have been on Methot from the get-go but price had to come down a bit; plus also helpful that year of pick was 2020

The Golden Knights plucked Methot from the Ottawa Senators in the expansion draft Wednesday night.
"He has proven to be a capable and steady defenseman that can play well with an offensive-minded partner, and he will add a tremendous amount of leadership and experience to our blueline," Stars general manager Jim Nill said in a statement Monday night.
