Canucks sign Gagner, Del Zotto, Nilsson to multi-year deals

The Vancouver Canucks have been active in free agency.
The team signed, most notably, forward Sam Gagner as well as defensemen Michael Del Zotto and Patrick Wiercioch, while also adding depth center Alex Burmistrov and signing backup goaltender Anders Nilsson.
Here's a look at the term and valuation for each:
- Gagner: Three years, $9.45 million
- Del Zotto: Two years, $6 million
- Nilsson: Two years, $5 million
- Burmistrov: One year, $900,000
- Wiercioch: One year, $650,000
Gagner is coming off an 18-goal, 50-point season with Columbus, while Del Zotto will bring a much-needed puck-moving, left-hand-shot presence to the blue line.
Nilsson will challenge Jacob Markstrom for the starter's job in net, according to general manager Jim Benning:
