Report: Dion Waiters meeting with Lakers
Steve Mitchell / USA TODAY Sports
Free-agent shooting guard Dion Waiters is reportedly meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers late Sunday evening, sources informed Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders.
The 25-year-old Waiters had a resurgent year with the Miami Heat, averaging 15.8 points in 30 minutes per game while shooting a career-high 42.4 percent.
The Lakers could absolutely use Waiters' experience in the backcourt, as rookie starting point guard Lonzo Ball will surely be under the microscope in L.A.
Jordan Clarkson, David Nwaba, Corey Brewer, and Tyler Ennis are the other guards currently comprising the Lakers' makeshift backcourt.
