Orlando City striker Cyle Larin understands his mistake and is ready to move past it.

The 22-year-old was given a three-match suspension and had to take part in Major League Soccer's Substance Abuse Behavior Program after being arrested and charged with driving under the impairment of alcohol on June 15. He returned to action this past weekend as Orlando defeated Real Salt Lake 1-0.

"I've learned a lot going away and taking time for myself," Larin said, speaking of the incident for the first time with Alicia DelGallo of the Orlando Sentinel. "I think I've learned from the mistake and I won't ever do it again."

The Canadian striker recounted the evening - which Dashcam video from the night of the incident showed the Canadian striker driving on the wrong side of the road - and the days and weeks that followed.

"I was nervous," Larin told the Sentinel of his arrest. "I hadn't been in a situation like that before. Your whole life you do everything right and something happens by mistake and it's hard, but obviously I suffered the consequence for it and I did what I had to do."

DelGallo reports that Larin does not consider himself an alcoholic, and having spent a night in jail and gone through the league's protocols, he is ready to move on with his team.

"The first couple of days were obviously hard, but I'm getting through it. I'm just happy to be back. I put all that behind me and I'm moving forward from there."
