'Just do it': LeBron urges Lonzo to switch to Nike
LeBron James took in Lonzo Ball's breakout performance in the Las Vegas Summer League on Wednesday and couldn't help but notice that Ball wasn't rocking his signature sneakers.
Ball posted 36 points, eight rebounds, 11 assists, five steals, and two blocks in leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a comeback victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, and he did so while wearing the Kobe ADs.
James, Nike's billion-dollar man, urged Ball to make the change permanent. The King captioned an Instagram video of Ball's kicks with the Nike slogan, "Just Do It."
Big Baller Brand, under the watchful eye of LaVar Ball, wants $1 billion (or $3 billion depending on the day) to co-brand with a sporting apparel company. Nike is showing interest in signing Lonzo, but not at that price.
