Whiteside would love to see Wade return to Heat
Dwyane Wade is perhaps the greatest, and unquestionably the most popular player in the history of the Miami Heat franchise, and a return to South Beach is not entirely out of the question if the Chicago Bulls buy out the remainder of his contract.
Should such a reunion come to fruition, Heat center Hassan Whiteside would welcome back his former teammate with open arms.
"It'd be great," Whiteside told The Sun Sentinel's Ira Winderman. "It's a three-time NBA champion coming back, coming in and really helping."

When the report first came out that the Bulls would reach a buyout with the 35-year-old guard in the coming months, Whiteside took to Twitter to post a GIF of actor Robert Redford nodding from the 1972 film Jeremiah Johnson film.
"Obviously this is something that D-Wade helped build," Whiteside added, "so obviously this city and us as a team being able to have somebody like that on our team would be amazing."
Whiteside spent his first two seasons with the organization alongside Wade, with the pair helping lead Miami to an appearance in the Eastern Conference semifinals following a 48-win 2015-16 campaign.
Wade is currently the Heat's all-time leader in most major categories, including games (855), points (20,221), assists (4,944), and steals (1,414).
