theScore's Jack Browne and Mitch Sanderson take a deep dive into the ratings from the newly released Madden 18 video game.

QB | RB | WR | TE | OL | K/P
DL | LB | DB | Rookie | Team

Rookie Position Team Rating
Myles Garrett RE Browns 83
O.J. Howard TE Buccaneers 82
Leonard Fournette RB Jaguars 81
Jamal Adams SS Jets 81
Christian McCaffrey RB Panthers 81
Dalvin Cook RB Vikings 80
Solomon Thomas DT 49ers 79
Mike Williams WR Chargers 79
Corey Davis WR Titans 79
Joe Mixon RB Bengals 79
David Njoku TE Browns 78
Ryan Ramczyk RT Saints 78
Tre'Davious White CB Bills 78
John Ross WR Bengals 77
Mitchell Trubisky QB Bears 77

Shockingly, Leonard Fournette is rated one point higher than Ezekiel Elliott was when the latter first entered the league, despite the fact most considered Elliott the superior prospect.

No one would argue Myles Garrett doesn't deserve to be the top-rated rookie, and considering his 83 rating is the same as the likes of Akiem Hicks and Williams Hayes, he probably should be higher (and likely will rise soon based on his strong preseason).

Dalvin Cook is only one point below fellow running back Christian McCaffrey despite McCaffrey being drafted over a full round ahead, with Joe Mixon another point behind Cook. Regardless, all three are among the players Madden fans are dying to get their hands on, especially McCaffrey and his otherworldly agility.

Mitchell Trubisky, the No. 2 overall pick, is the only quarterback to break the top 15. However, he's rated only one point ahead of Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes. Funnily, DeShone Kizer, rated two points behind Trubisky, is the only rookie pivot actually set to begin the season as his team's starter, and should have the chance to supplant the three quarterbacks who were taken ahead of him in this year's draft.
