Daichi Abe opened the UFC's return to Japan on Friday night and made his promotional debut with a splash.
The 25-year-old Japanese welterweight needed to win the third round against Hyun Gyu Lim to take home a decision victory at UFC Fight Night 117, and answered by sending his opponent to the mat with a solid right hand with less than 25 seconds to go.
Not only did Abe hand Lim his third straight loss, but "The Ace" appeared to leave with a broken nose as well.
