After he was held out of Thursday night's game with a thigh contusion, the New England Patriots expect tight end Rob Gronkowski to be ready to play against the New York Jets in Week 6, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Patriots running back Rex Burkhead, who has missed the last three weeks with a rib injury, is also set to be ready for the Week 6 game.
Gronkowski was a surprise inactive Thursday night after practicing fully for two days before a limited session Wednesday. The Patriots' Week 5 game is the first contest Gronkowski has missed this season, but it marks the sixth straight year the tight end has missed action due to injury.
