Curry, KD ejected after Steph throws mouth guard at ref
The championship hangover is real.
Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry was ejected from Saturday's 111-101 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies after he whipped his mouth guard at an official. Curry was pushed over the edge when he wasn't given the call on his contested layup in the final minute.
Kevin Durant joined Curry in the showers after he was thrown out during the same sequence for barking at the refs. Durant then displayed his ring finger at a courtside fan as he walked out.
Curry and the Warriors battled foul trouble all night as the Grizzlies launched 37 free throws in the game. Durant, Draymond Green, Zaza Pachulia, and Klay Thompson each had four or more fouls, and frustrations finally boiled over in the end.
The reigning champions have now lost two of their first three games, with their lone win being an eight-point victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.
