LaVar: Wizards 'better beware, because Lonzo ain't losing again'
Ah, some fresh bulletin-board material for John Wall.
The Washington Wizards point guard will go up against Lonzo Ball for the first time Wednesday when his squad visits the Los Angeles Lakers.
Ball's father, LaVar, is expecting the Lakers to bounce back.
"Washington coming in here Wednesday, they better beware, because Lonzo ain't losing again," he said following Sunday's 119-112 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.
"Not in the same week!"
Wall's known to play with a chip on his shoulder because he doesn't think he gets the respect he deserves, and has said LaVar's bumptious comments about Lonzo put a target on the rookie's back.
It was already expected Wall would try to make a statement against the No. 2 pick, who was featured in a star-studded graphic that Wall was omitted from and took exception to.
His teammate Marcin Gortat can't wait to see it.
Wall's averaging 27 points, nine assists, four rebounds, and two blocks for the 2-0 Wizards.
Wednesday's affair at Staples Center cannot come soon enough.
