Gun Runner helps spoil Arrogate's dreams of repeating in Breeders' Cup Classic

Arrogate never stood a chance.

Co-favorite at post time, Gun Runner blazed to a fast start and barely looked back. Finishing at 2:01.29, Gun Runner defeated his closest competition, Collected, by more than two lengths.

It was a dominant performance that ended a day of surprise showings from long shots and underdogs. Perhaps the spotlight should have been on Gun Runner from the beginning.
