A high school football coach in New Jersey has been suspended after being filmed striking one of his players on the side of their helmet, according to Bill Evans of NJ.com.
In the video, Winslow Township athletic director and football coach Kemp Carr can be seen helping the player try on a helmet before turning them around and giving them a hard slap. The video was initially posted on social media, but has since been edited to obscure the player's identity.
A district official with knowledge of the incident told Evans the video was filmed at Winslow's gym and that the player who was struck was removed from the team this season for undisclosed reasons.
