Gobert ruled out Saturday with knee contusion from 'dirty' play by Waiters

The 5-7 Utah Jazz will look to snap a four-game skid, but they'll have to do so without the aid of their dominant All-NBA defender Rudy Gobert.

The Jazz announced Gobert will miss Saturday's tilt with the visiting Brooklyn Nets due to a right knee contusion. Thabo Sefolosha will join the starting lineup in his absence.

Gobert took Dion Waiters to task for what he perceived to be a dangerous play after the Heat guard lunged for a loose ball, forcing the towering Frenchman to head to the locker room before returning in the fourth quarter of the Jazz's Friday night loss.

"I think it was a dirty play, but no matter what the most important thing is to keep getting better and to win tomorrow," Gobert told Eric Woodyard of the Deseret News after the loss.

Gobert is averaging 13.9 points, 10.5 rebounds, and a league-best 2.5 blocks per game this season.
