Conor McGregor on Monday offered an explanation for storming a Bellator ring on Friday.

McGregor has since deleted the statement from his Twitter account.
The UFC lightweight champion created chaos at Bellator 187 in Dublin, Ireland when he climbed into the cage to celebrate teammate Charlie Ward's victory, only to be confronted by referee Marc Goddard.
McGregor responded by shoving Goddard and slapping another official.
