Gobert claps back at Waiters: 'It's not my feelings, it's my knee'

Rudy Gobert doesn't appreciate Miami Heat guard Dion Waiters telling him how to react to his own injury.

The Utah Jazz big man is set to miss at least four weeks of action after an MRI Saturday revealed he was dealing with a right tibia contusion following a nasty collision with Waiters the day before. Gobert called out Waiters for being a dirty player for the incident, though the Heat guard later defended himself and told the French center to "get out of his feelings."

That didn't sit well with Gobert, however, who chimed back at Waiters on Monday.

"It's not my feelings, it's my knee," Gobert said, according to The Associated Press. "That's a little more important. I like to play basketball. Sometimes if someone takes that away from you, you've got to get in your feelings for a reason."

Despite his frustration with the setback, Gobert is assured he won't need to be out for the minimum four weeks he's currently scheduled for.

"Usually, I heal very fast," he said. "We're not going to rush it or do anything stupid. But I'm pretty confident that I can be back before that."
