Report: Stanton attended meetings with Giants, Cardinals
It appears Giancarlo Stanton isn't letting his people do all his work for him.
When Stanton's representatives met with the San Francisco Giants on Thursday and the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday about a potential trade, the Miami Marlins slugger was in attendance alongside his agent Joel Wolfe, sources told FanRag Sports' Jon Heyman.

After the meetings, the teams were informed that neither has been eliminated from trade consideration, according to USA TODAY Sports' Bob Nightengale.
Both have something tantalizing to offer the Marlins. The Giants are reportedly willing to absorb the majority of Stanton's remaining contract, if not all of it, while the Cardinals have a massive cache of prospect talent they can dangle. Each team has reportedly submitted a trade offer over the last couple weeks.
With other teams in the mix at various times, the Cardinals and Giants emerged as the most aggressive bidders in recent weeks.
Stanton, however, is in the driver's seat, as he has a full no-trade clause in his contract.
