Oubre: NBA didn't allow my Supreme gear
Kelly Oubre Jr. has quickly become one of the NBA's sartorial trailblazers - with or without league approval.
The Wizards forward turned heads Tuesday by debuting a leg sleeve emblazoned with the unmistakable branding of streetwear giant Supreme. The league was evidently not too thrilled about it, as he didn't finish the game wearing it.

"I got it yesterday, man, at my favorite store," Oubre told SLAM after the Wizards' 103-98 loss to the Brooklyn Nets. "I didn't know the league wasn't going to accept them because they had the NBA logo on them and the Nike logo, so I thought it was going to be verified or whatever. Obviously, they didn't accept them."
So, unfortunately, it doesn't seem like Oubre or any player will be rocking the Supreme x NBA collection again anytime soon.
"It was just something I wanted to try," Oubre added. "Because I didn't know if they were going to allow it or not. I tried it, they didn't allow it, so it's on to the next one - Wave Papi do wavy things."
