New York Giants safety Landon Collins apologized for labeling teammate and second-year cornerback Eli Apple a "cancer" during a radio interview.
In a Twitter post Wednesday, Collins referred to the former first-round pick as a "brother" and said he'll always be prepared to support Apple however he can.
Apple has struggled to fit in both on the field and in the Giants' locker room since being drafted 10th overall out of Ohio State in 2016. Collins has criticized him multiple times, and recently said Apple needs to "grow up."
Collins was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, ending his season after being named to the Pro Bowl for a second consecutive year.
