Spurs fan surprised with courtside seats for 100th birthday
Longtime San Antonio Spurs fan Delia Leal crossed off a bucket list item for her 100th birthday: watching the team play from courtside.
Leal's daughter surprised her with tickets to the game last week, but it wasn't until Wednesday that she found out where she'd be sitting, according to Niku Kazori of KENS 5. Despite a health scare, she traveled three hours in the cold to watch her favorite team.
"I couldn't imagine, because it was a total surprise. She said it was going to be something special for (me), so it is. It is," Leal said.
She wasn't the only fan celebrating a milestone birthday that night. The Spurs' Twitter account tweeted photos of Leal and another woman named Mercedes who turned 99 years old.
Mercedes and Delia are celebrating their 99th and 100th birthdays at tonight’s game. ❤️
