Report: Cousins out for season with torn Achilles
New Orleans Pelicans center DeMarcus Cousins will miss the rest of the season due to a torn left Achilles tendon suffered in Friday's win over the Houston Rockets, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The 6-foot-11 center had to be helped off the floor with under a minute left in the game after appearing to injure his left leg on a non-contact play attempting to keep the ball in bounds.

Cousins will have surgery as soon as possible, sources told Shams Charania of The Vertical.
The All-Star big man will be facing a recovery timeline of anywhere from six to 10 months, Wojnarowski later reported.
Cousins, due to be an unrestricted free agent this summer, had been putting together one of the best seasons of his career prior to the devastating injury. Through 47 games, he's averaging 25.4 points, as well as a career-high 12.9 rebounds and 6.2 3-point attempts, with a 35.6 percent success rate.
