Dortmund director: Aubameyang won't be sold unless all demands met
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc revealed the club has been negotiating with Arsenal regarding the sale of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but also set firm expectations on required conditions regarding a January deal.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admitted earlier in the week that the Gunners were "far from being close" to completing a deal for the 28-year-old striker, but Zorc explained a deal isn't really complicated - Arsenal has to meet the asking price, which is reportedly set at around €70 million (€61 million).
"Either our demands are met and there will be a transfer, or they aren't met and Auba will play in Dortmund until summer," Zorc told Sky Sports, as quoted by ESPN FC's Stefan Buczko.
In addition, Dortmund reportedly wishes to add Olivier Giroud as part of any deal, though it's unclear whether it would be on loan or as a permanent transfer. Buczko also reported Arsenal CEO Ivan Gazidis is in Dortmund trying to wrap up a deal for Aubameyang, which Zorc revealed is entirely possible in January.
"This is how we discussed it with his family and how it is agreed upon.
"We have a clear position. We're ready, with certain conditions, to make a transfer happen, but only when all conditions are completely met.
"So far Arsenal have tried and we've rejected everything."
