McKee clashes with Lawrence in co-main event of Primus-Chandler rematch

Bellator MMA

One of Bellator's most tantalizing prospects is headed to Missouri.

AJ McKee will meet Justin Lawrence in the featherweight co-main event of the outfit's visit to St. Charles' The Family Arena on April 13, officials told MMAjunkie on Wednesday.

The undefeated McKee owns the longest winning streak in promotional history with 10 and was last seen submitting a game Brian Moore with a third-round rear-naked choke in Bellator 187's headliner. Seven of the 22-year-old's victories have come inside the distance.

Lawrence, 27, meets McKee on a two-fight win streak and sub three-month turnaround. He most recently took a unanimous decision over Andrew Natividad at Bellator 193 last month, improving his promotional record to 4-2.

In the main event, Brent Primus defends the lightweight crown in a rematch with Missouri native Michael Chandler, who lost the strap due to a freak ankle injury suffered in their first fight at Bellator NYC.
