UC Davis' Chima Moneke: Does not play in loss to Gauchos
Moneke (suspension) did not play Thursday in the loss to UC-Santa Barbara, the Davis Enterprise reports. He was allowed to attend the game and sit on the bench, Coach Jim Les said, "The suspension means that he's not practicing and he's not playing, but we don't want to separate him from his teammates or the support we can give him."
Analysis:
Moneke has missed the last two games after an incident at the team's hotel on the road trip to Long Beach State last weekend. He remains out indefinitely. Pepperdine transfer A.J. John started and 5-9 guard T.J. Shorts was the Aggies' leading rebounder. Moneke is unlikely to play Saturday against Cal-State Fullerton.
