Jarome Iginla has been spotted.
The 40-year-old skated alongside the AHL's Providence Bruins at practice Tuesday. Here's the proof, courtesy of Mark Divver of The Providence Journal:
Iginla could still be signed to an NHL contract, but said he doesn't have any deals in place at the moment. He drew interest from Team Canada's brass for PyeongChang 2018, but a hip procedure prevented him from showcasing his ability.
He needs to sign with a club by 3 p.m. ET next Monday in order to be eligible for the playoffs, according to Sportsnet's Chris Johnston.
Last season, Iginla played in 80 games split between the Colorado Avalanche and Los Angeles Kings, recording 14 goals and 13 assists.
