Report: Nash to join Turner Sports as soccer analyst
Turner Sports' soccer coverage is about to be "MVP like Steve Nash."
The retired NBA superstar is closing in on a deal to join Turner Sports as a studio analyst covering the UEFA Champions League, sources told The Post's Andrew Marchand.
The top club tournament in the world is switching broadcasters next year from Fox Sports to Turner's TNT, TBS, TruTV, and a streaming service that's yet to be unveiled.
During his illustrious 18-year pro basketball career, Nash made clear his passion for soccer. The 44-year-old is a fan of the English Premier League's Tottenham and has been hosting an annual celebrity soccer showdown since 2008. His father and brother both played soccer professionally, and Nash now has an ownership stake in the MLS' Vancouver Whitecaps.
The Hall of Fame nominee currently serves as a consultant for the defending champion Golden State Warriors and is the general manager of the Canadian men's national basketball team.
