On this day in history: The 'Mighty Ducks of Anaheim' are official

On March 1, 1993, the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim - inspired by the 1992 Disney movie - became the official team name of the California-based NHL expansion franchise.
When The Walt Disney Company sold the team in 2005, the name was shortened to the current title, "Anaheim Ducks."
