A potentially dangerous play occurred during a high school basketball game in Kansas on Friday night.
Hanover's Thomas Atkins was going up for a breakaway dunk when he was shoved from behind and into a basket stanchion by an unidentified player from Centralia. The incident occurred during the third quarter of a Class 1A-DI semifinal between the two schools, according to Blake Schuster of Yahoo Sports.
Centralia was assessed a flagrant foul, and while Atkins left the game briefly, he was able to return and finished with 18 points.
