Report: Broncos will listen to offers for Anderson; not expected to cut him
The Denver Broncos will listen to trade offers for running back C.J. Anderson, but do not expect to release him at this time, according to Mike Klis of 9News.
Anderson will carry a cap hit of $4.5 million in both 2018 and 2019, but can be cut this year with zero cost against the salary cap, according to Spotrac.
The 27-year-old is three seasons removed from a Pro Bowl campaign in 2014 when he rushed for 849 yards and eight touchdowns, recording 324 yards and two touchdowns as a receiver.
He has played in 38 games with 28 starts over the past three seasons, totaling 2,164 rushing yards, 535 receiving yards, and 14 combined touchdowns over that time.
He ranked as Pro Football Focus' No. 6 running back this past season, while teammate Devontae Booker ranked 39th.
