Colts bolster receiving corps with Deon Cain in 6th round
Joshua S. Kelly-USA TODAY Sports
The Indianapolis Colts have selected wide receiver Deon Cain out of Clemson with the 185th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Cain offers solid value this late in the draft, and will be a welcomed addition to a Colts team lacking depth at wide receiver. He will compete for snaps with Chester Rogers, Ryan Grant, and 2018 fifth-round pick Daurice Fountain.
The former Clemson Tiger accumulated 734 receiving yards and six touchdowns in 2017.

What the analysts are saying
- "Cain has the pure speed to attack over the top, but he should be a competitive option on all three levels. His drops are more a function of concentration than ability, but it needs to be improved." - Lance Zierlein, NFL.com
- "Good body control to make difficult receptions with defenders in close proximity and when pinned near the sideline." - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com
